Biography

Raymond Liguori is the Founder and Principal of REL Advisors, an M&A and Negotiations consulting and training firm.  Prior to forming REL Advisors, Ray had an extensive corporate finance career in the Telecommunications, Retailing and Consumer Packaged Goods industries with leadership roles in Corporate Development, Treasury, Investor Relations and Financial Planning and Analysis. Over the past 20 years, he led the Mergers and Acquisitions teams at AT&T Corp, Walmart and Campbell Soup.  Early in his career, Ray worked as an Institutional Investor Ranked Equity Analyst at Merrill Lynch.

Over his career, Ray has completed more than 50 transactions on five continents with an aggregate value exceeding $130 billion.  These global transactions include tax-free mergers, auctions, government privatizations, public tender offers, bankruptcy asset purchases, joint venture unwinds and defense of hostile takeovers.

Ray recently joined the faculty at Drexel University’s Lebow College of Business as an Adjunct Professor of Finance.  For the past 15 years, he has also been a guest lecturer at the Boston College Carroll School of Management.

Ray holds a BS, in Finance and Economics from Boston College, a Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
